Description
Materials: Wooden knobs vary depending on the type of wood being used. Some woods are fairly inexpensive, while some woods can run upwards of $45 just for the blank itself. Please contact us ahead of time, to see what types of wood are available, and to received a quote. We can get all sorts of burl wood. Most of the blanks we use are stabilized, and we do a CA finish on all our wood knobs.
Size: Most of our wood knobs end up about 1.75″ diameter. We can make them smaller, and sometimes bigger.
Thread size: All of our boat knobs come with 3/8″-24 Thread. This fits almost all ski/wake boats, V-drive and direct drive from the 1980’s up through today. Newer Malibu and Axis boats that have the square throttle lever will NOT work with our knobs. If your boat has the standard style Morse throttle lever, our knobs will fit.
Finish: Typically we do a CA glue finish on all our wood knobs. We can do a raw wood, velvet or oil finish if you would like.
