Our boat knobs are made from hand poured and turned polyester resin. They have a feel in between glass and plastic. If you don’t like the gloss texture, we can apply a matte finish to the knob free of charge.
All our boat knobs are turned to roughly 1.8″unless specified. They may not be perfectly round since they are hand turned, but they are usually close. We try to keep around the same weight as the factory knobs. This helps to keep the throttle from walking and allows for the same small adjustments as before.
Our boat knobs (unless otherwise specified) have a 3/8″ – 24 thread pitch. This is the same size as most Moombas, Supras, Malibus, and earlier Mastercrafts using the Morse throttle. You should always double check your thread pitch before ordering. If if happens to be different (rare), let us know. We can usually make you a knob with a different thread.
Knobs do not contain a UV inhibitor. Neon and bright color knobs may fade if left in direct sunlight for long periods of time. You can simply throw a glow or hat over it if you are mooring your boat in direct sunlight. Under normal use, it shouldn’t be an issue.
